Boston Scientific's stent-placing system wins U.S., EU approvals

Boston Scientific has obtained U.S. and European approvals for its Guidezilla Guide Extension Catheter, which helps surgeons position stents and other devices better during percutaneous coronary intervention procedures. The stainless steel tube device features a low-friction coating that cuts the time it takes to place the implant into hard-to-reach arteries.
