Construction supply companies, lacking credit, lag rebound

Housing suppliers working in a tighter credit atmosphere and with pared staffs after the recession are struggling to keep up with the housing rebound. The stiffer regulatory environment for lending is exacerbated by the closures of many smaller banks that typically would lend to suppliers, said David Crowe, chief economist at the National Association of Home Builders.
