How games help keep kids' minds active during the summer

Research shows that, besides being fun, games can help boost math and problem-solving skills and build social skills. "They need to have basic math skills to count spaces, money and points, and to calculate odds," math teacher Tom Vasel said, adding, "But more important, they have to talk to other people to play a board game."
