NAIFA concerned about ruling on navigators, brokers

Only navigators can assist people with making choices about health exchanges, according to a ruling by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Under the ruling, brokers will be recognized as separate from navigators, but can choose to become navigators. "NAIFA remains concerned that consumers will be confused about the limitations of navigators," NAIFA President Robert Smith said. "Brokers do much more than sell insurance."
