New black box is developed specifically for small airports to increase safety

John Guimond, manager of the Augusta State Airport in Maine, and his business partner, Ron Cote, have developed the General Audio Recording Device. The device is a black box designed specifically for use at small airports. When installed, the system can record all radio transmissions, helping authorities to determine what happened in the event of a crash. Guimond hopes that the information provided could help prevent accidents.
