The office-construction pipeline in the Boston area has 3.2 million square feet of space in it -- the most in 10 years. "The construction pipeline is notable not only for its size but also its diversity," said Brendan Carroll, SVP of research at RBJ&P. One of the largest projects is the $2 billion Northpoint mixed-use development in Cambridge. Other large projects are in the works that will expand office and mixed-use construction in the Boston area even more, according to real estate firm Richards Barry Joyce & Partners.
