Getting to the Huaruro waterfall deep in Peru's Colca Canyon can involve hours of rough hiking, a bit of ropeless rock-climbing and uneasy nights with insects crawling or flying everywhere. All that trouble melts away when the falls come within sight -- a breathtaking mass of water falling 250 feet into the rocks and plants below, shrouding the lush vegetation in a cool mist.
