Southwest medical grant program gives patients a lift

Southwest Airlines offers a grant program that gives free flights to patients who need to travel out of town for medical treatment. The carrier's Medical Transportation Grant Program also covers airfares for caregivers or family members. This year, Southwest expects the program to give away $2.8 million in free transportation.
