VA facilities to use automated disease surveillance system

Veterans Affairs hospitals in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Pittsburgh are installing automated disease surveillance systems from TheraDoc to track hospital-acquired and other infections and alert staff to unusual clusters. The system is quicker to analyze than paper reports and could reduce costs.
