Credit Agricole CEO forces vote of confidence and wins

Georges Pauget, CEO of Credit Agricole, forced the bank's board into a vote of confidence after reporting record losses related to the subprime meltdown. "[The board] unanimously reiterates its full confidence in and support of Georges Pauget, chief executive," the bank said after its board meeting.
