Nielsen: Spanish-language cable posts big sales gain

Spanish-language cable scored a 32.3% increase in ad sales in 2007 compared to the previous year, in matching networks that were measured in both years, according to Nielsen Monitor Plus, which reported that overall ad revenues jumped by 76% to $220.7 million with the addition of Fox Sports en Espanol and Mun2 in 2007. Broadly, Spanish-language media gained a modest 3% in 2007, but far outscored English-language sources in several important categories such as automotive, Multichannel News reported.
