Sony wants in on video-downloading business

Sony Corp., looking to get a piece of the content-downloading action, announced a new service that will allow users to rent or buy movies and TV shows and watch them on TV sets through its PlayStation Network. The service will face competition from Apple and Microsoft Corp., the latter of which just struck a similar downloading deal with Netflix.
