Study says obesity increases risk of pancreatic cancer in women

A new study of more than 138,000 menopausal women found that obese women who carry most of their weight in their stomach are 70% more likely to develop pancreatic cancer compared with women with the lowest levels of excess stomach weight. Researchers said the increased levels of insulin associated with a high proportion of abdominal fat may be related to the link with pancreatic cancer.
