Congressional panel poised to investigate financial crisis

A 10-member congressional panel was appointed to look into the financial crisis. The committee, which includes widely known consumer and business advocates, will have overarching powers that include issuing subpoenas and investigating financial companies. Phil Angelides, formerly treasurer of California, will lead the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission.
