The Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut both reported a drop in slot machine revenue of 9% for June. In comparison, Las Vegas revenue was down 17% and Atlantic City's 13.6%. Mitchell Etess, CEO of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority, expressed disappointment and said the volume of gamblers was the same but that people were spending less. On the positive side, Robert Victoria, of Mashantucket Pequot Gaming Enterprises, said, "We actually believe we're almost at the bottom (of the economic downturn)."
