Governor-to-be reviews progress on planned Alaskan pipeline

Alaska Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell, who soon will become governor with Sarah Palin's announced resignation, met with ExxonMobil and TransCanada executives to discuss the proposed TransCanada natural gas pipeline. With a rival pipeline proposed by BP and ConocoPhillips, Parnell said he expects more talks involving TransCanada and other producers, suggesting that he might back a single pipeline supported by the four companies.
