Slanted skyscraper requires thousands of unique glass panes

The slanting design of the Capital Gate skyscraper under construction in Abu Dhabi requires 12,000 glass panes that are all different sizes. The design also requires contractors to stagger the building's floors. Subcontractors are using building information modeling systems to transfer design information into the detailing phase of the project.
