Asian markets drop as concerns increase about the U.S. recovery

Asian share markets mostly declined Friday, with the yen's advance hitting Japanese exporters' stocks. Tokyo's Nikkei 225 dropped 2.9%, while Australia's S&P/ASX 200 and Taiwan's Taiex slipped 0.5%. South Korea's Kospi Composite gave up 0.7%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index and China's Shanghai Composite closed unchanged. New Zealand's NZX 50 lost 0.6%, while Singapore's Straits Times Index gained 0.4% and India's Sensex inched up 0.2% in afternoon trading.
