Media hype aside, Double Down disappoints

KFC's Double Down sandwich saw a slew of media play when the chain launched the limited-time bun-free chicken sandwich, but the buzz didn't translate into stellar sales, the company said this week. Parent Yum! Brands called the sandwich's sales "immaterial," and one analyst said the Double Down only comprised 5% of total sales.
