Schools should use a common-sense approach to nutrition, so that food is tasty, healthy and in proper portions, a Department of Agriculture official told the School Nutrition Association conference this week. Schools also are fighting hunger and obesity by serving breakfast to children and by getting teachers to eat lunch in the cafeteria with their students.
