Unemployed find paychecks as paid union picketers

Unions such as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters are hiring unemployed people to picket certain businesses when union members aren't available. These paid protesters can earn $8.25 an hour or more, although they may have no clue about what they're protesting. "I could care less. I am being paid to march around and sound off," said one picketer.
