Wildlife experts release 56 sea turtles rescued from Gulf oil spill

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on Thursday announced that 56 Kemp's ridley turtles that were rescued from the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico have been released into the Atlantic Ocean. The 56 sea turtles were the first batch of hatchlings from the 67 eggs that were gathered for incubation as part of an effort to save the endangered species.
