Conn. governor vetoes bill to regulate medispas

Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy vetoed a bill that would have created tighter regulations for so-called medispas that offer invasive and noninvasive cosmetic procedures. Malloy said he was concerned the bill would limit licensed medical professionals' scopes of practice. Plastic surgeons supported the bill, which would have required a state-licensed physician to oversee operations at medispas.
