Hagel: Military forced to take "deeper, steeper" cuts

Because of sequestration, the U.S. military is being forced "to take deeper, steeper, and more abrupt reductions than we've ever had to do," Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel told an audience at a town hall meeting at Fort Bragg, N.C. this week. The reductions are threatening the military readiness of U.S. forces, Hagel said.
