Japan's fashion fans boost online shopping

Japanese consumers have been slower to adopt online shopping than their counterparts in other countries, but comfort levels with online apparel and accessories shopping are on the rise, and retailers' offerings are growing along with demand. Last year, online marketplace Rakuten launched Brand Avenue, a fashion-oriented section with products from about 150 brands and style-centric blogs, videos and other content.
