Malware targeting diplomats discovered throughout Europe, Asia

E-mails embedded with malicious code designed to exploit vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office have been discovered on computers in more than a dozen nations in Europe and Asia, according to research firm Trend Micro, which says the hackers may have been concentrating on the diplomatic community. The malware -- which targets a flaw that has since been patched -- was delivered in an e-mail purported to be from the Chinese defense ministry and steals victims' login credentials.
