Researchers turn to 3D printing for skin to heal burn victims

A 3D printer developed by a team at the University of Toronto can produce sheets of human skin from multiple layers of cell-laden tissue. It is hoped that the process will eventually be able to produce skin at a cost that makes it feasible to cover large areas on a burn victim.
