Tech mogul designs Hyperloop rail as "fifth mode" of transportation

Tesla Motors and Space X founder Elon Musk has designed a "fifth mode" of transportation that he estimates would cost $6 billion to build. Described as a "cross between a Concorde and a railgun and an air hockey table," the Hyperloop wouldn't be susceptible to crashes or inclement weather and could get people from San Francisco to Los Angeles in 30 minutes. Musk says the design will be released by Aug. 12.
