The AAFP has developed a 12-page summary to help members navigate CMS's proposed 2015 Medicare physician fee schedule released July 11. Among the changes are a $41.92 payment for chronic care management, the addition of 80 codes to the list of potential misvalued codes, and a code-modifier requirement to identify services provided by hospital-owned practices. Other changes include revisions to accountable care organization quality scoring and the application of value-based payment modifiers to some physicians in 2015 and to all in 2017. The AAFP will respond during the comment period ending Sept. 2.
