British supermarkets will not sell GM foods

Representatives of Britain's five largest supermarket chains yesterday told government officials that, even if policies are changed to permit the sale of genetically modified foods, the stores will not provide them. The stores state consumers do not want GM foods, and they would only sell them if the public changed its opinions.
