SBC not a target of E-Rate probe

A spokesperson for U.S. Rep. Billy Tauzin, R-La., said SBC Communications is not under investigation for its involvement with alleged fraud related to the E-Rate program, which provides money for schools to set up high-speed Internet service. SBC is the second biggest E-Rate supplier behind IBM.
