Former SEC officials want say in Supreme Court case

Three former Securities and Exchange Commission officials want permission to intervene in a landmark Supreme Court case that could allow defrauded investors to sue third parties. Former Chairmen William H. Donaldson and Arthur Levitt and former Commissioner Harvey J. Goldschmid asked for permission to file a post-deadline brief that supports investors in the case. Last month, the Bush administration came under attack when the U.S. solicitor general let a deadline to file a brief pass.
