Student punished for blog comments sues school

A Connecticut teen is suing her school, saying school administrators violated her constitutional rights to free speech. After Avery Doninger, 16, criticized her school's administrators on her LiveJournal blog, she was removed from her position as class secretary and prohibited from running for re-election as punishment, the lawsuit claims. School administrators say student leadership positions are not a right but a privilege.
