California pipeline eliminates tanker trips to refinery

A new oil pipeline from the Wilmington field in Long Beach, Calif., to ConocoPhillips' refinery in Carson, Calif., has eliminated the need for trucking oil from the field to the refinery. Since becoming operational in March, the pipeline has eliminated 50 tanker-truck trips daily.
