Army Corps plans grout wall for Washington state dam

The Army Corps of Engineers plans to build a grout wall at the Howard Hanson Dam in Washington state as a temporary fix for seepage problems. The 450-foot-long wall will protect the abutment of the dam after two depressions opened in January floods. The Corps also plans to raise the reservoir level to 1,155 feet once the grout wall is completed in November.
