Baseball league for children with autism provides social outlet

Rose van Wier Hein fears that children with autism are entering adulthood without social connections outside the home. The California mother of a son with autism who is now college-age created a baseball league three years ago to engage youths with autism. The league accepts children 5 to 18 and pairs each child with a volunteer mentor.
