Volunteers use play to help homeless children

The nonprofit group Horizons for Homeless Children creates play spaces and trains volunteers to interact in shelters with homeless children, many of whom are statistically at risk for educational delays and problems with development and health. The 1,400 active volunteers offer an outlet for the children.
