Investment returns helped wealthy Americans multiply in 2010

The number of wealthy individuals in major U.S. cities increased 7.3% in 2010, according to this year's U.S. Metro Wealth Index from Capgemini Financial Services. They include Houston, where the number of wealthy residents rebounded after a significant decline in 2008. The increase in wealthy Americans was attributable to higher returns in investment portfolios, the firm said.
