IT costs increase along with BYOD, study finds

The growing use of mobile devices in the workplace may be costing companies more money, according to an Osterman Research study that says IT labor costs per user increased from $229 last year to $294 this year and are expected to hit $339 next year. Standardizing mobile-device management platforms won't necessarily help save money, the report warns.
