Austrian researchers describe faster ion conductor

Researchers at the Technical University of Graz in Austria have described details of an ion conductor that could potentially improve the performance of lithium-ion batteries, Christoph Hammerschmidt writes. Lithium ions in a Li6PS5Br sulphide move extremely fast, they found, qualifying the material as a promising solid-state electrolyte.
