Calif. summer camp focuses on math readiness

Antioch High School in California hosts an annual summer math camp to help prepare incoming freshman for algebra. The program is not only an outreach effort for students, but it also seeks to engage parents and community partners. "They really wanted to be there, really believed that the support they received will help them pass algebra as freshmen, which ultimately will put them on a path to meeting college admissions requirements," teacher Lindsay Wisely said.
