Cracked pontoon for Seattle's new bridge towed to yard for repairs

A concrete pontoon, made for Seattle's new floating State Route 520 bridge, has been towed to a yard for repairs. The cracked, 11,000-ton pontoon traveled to Elliott Bay through the Lake Washington Ship Canal, requiring the opening of several bridges. Completion of the bridge has been pushed back to the summer of 2015 due to repairs on several pontoons.
