Firms should also "lean in" by meeting women halfway

According to the AICPA's 2013 Trends in the Supply of Accounting Graduates and the Demand for Public Accounting Recruits, only 19% of women CPAs lead their firms, although there are nearly equal numbers of men and women represented in public accounting. This column suggests that the firm of the future will employ flexible work cultures and the integration of work into an overall life plan for both men and women, and recommends that partners be proactive in recognizing the leadership potential of women at their firms.
