German exporters turn to U.S. as Chinese sales slow

Companies in Germany are putting emphasis on sales to the U.S. as Chinese demand declines and eurozone neighbors remain in recession. In the first four months of this year, sales to China, Germany's fifth-largest export market, declined by 2% compared with the same period in 2012, according to UniCredit. However, exports to the U.S. increased 3.5%.
