Judge denies last challenge to Ohio River Bridges Project

A U.S. district judge in Louisville, Ky., has dismissed a lawsuit considered the last legal challenge to the $2.6 billion Ohio River Bridges Project. The Coalition for the Advancement of Regional Transportation claimed, among other things, that the project would "hurt the environment" and the tolling plan would discriminate against minorities. The judge ruled that Kentucky, Indiana and the Federal Highway Administration "reasonably exercised their discretion in making decisions about the project’s scope, design and financing."
