N.Y. county still needs $500M to repair sewage treatment, pollution control facilities

In Nassau County, N.Y., last fall's Superstorm Sandy caused severe damage to the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant and the Cedar Creek Water Pollution Control Plant. Repairs will cost more than $700 million. County lawmakers recently approved $262 million in bonds to move the projects ahead, but they still need an additional $500,000 to fully fund the project.
