PC woes continue to drag on Intel's financials

Intel reported second-quarter net income of $2.0 billion, down from the prior year's $2.8 billion, while revenue fell to $12.8 billion from $13.5 billion. Analysts were expecting an average of nearly $12.9 billion in Q2 revenue, according to Thomson Reuters. Unit sales of chips for PCs were down by 5% from a year ago.
