Blogger George Mandes writes about exploring Alaska's remote Brooks Range with his wife. The couple took off from Homer, Alaska, each flying a Cessna 185. Mandes writes that in Circle City, avgas is sold at the gas station in town rather than at the airport, and locals don't look twice when an airplane comes taxing down the road.
