Study: Phone outreach may increase CRC screening in women

A Medicaid managed care organization used a telephone outreach strategy to encourage women who were overdue for colorectal cancer screening to get tested, Dartmouth University researchers report. Data showed 41.8% of women reached by phone got tested, while 26.8% of women who received usual care did so.
