Survey: Developers will turn next to Windows Phone apps

More developers are writing mobile applications for Android devices than for iOS-based models but Windows Phone is the up-and-coming platform in their minds, according to a survey of 6,000 developers across 115 countries commissioned by consultancy VisionMobile. The survey finds that 35% of developers plan to write for Windows Phone in the current quarter compared with 26% for iOS. The developers say iOS remains the most profitable platform for which to write.
